As of 06/09/2014, pursuant to Instruction No. 117/2012 of the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, ALBCONTROL started updating courses for emergency knowledge for air traffic controllers in the ACC / APP and TWR, at one of the most known academies in the field of training for air navigation services, SENASA, headquartered in Madrid, Spain. In June, the training was completed by all student controllers that are in the final stage of training in the workplace at ACC and TWR (provided in a license of an air traffic controller) and 10 air traffic controllers in the ACC / APP and TWR. For the rest of ATCO staff this update knowledge for emergencies will resume after the summer season closure, from mid-September, when the level of air traffic begins to decrease.
